Full Description: This is a souvenir of the opening of Palmer Park in 1891. The land and money for planting trees were donated by George Palmer, a founding director of Huntley & Palmers. His generosity was marked by celebrations, the freedom of Reading and a statue in Broad Street. This now stands in Palmer Park.
