Brief Description: Small rectangular tin with scenes of the Middle East on the lid and sides framed by eastern style border in gold, red and navy
Subject Date: 1900
Creator: Huntley, Boorne & Stevens (probably)
Publisher: Huntley & Palmers

Full Description: By 1900 Huntley & Palmers were exporting their biscuits across the globe and many of the tin designs were influenced by eastern culture. For the purchasers of the tins, the designs gave them a flavour of countries they would probably never visit and evoked ideas of foreign travel and adventure.
