Brief Description: Biscuit tin in the shape of a hexagonal moorish table with gold and black embossed design
Subject Date: 1903 - 1906
Creator: Huntley, Boorne & Stevens
Publisher: Huntley & Palmers
Full Description: This was the second tin to be issued in the shape of a table (see Cairo, 1902). The design depicts carved wood inlaid with ivory and reflects early attempts to produce tins that did not actually look like tin. The arrow on the side of the lid provides a pointer for where to open the tin. 35,000 of these tins were produced in 1903.
