Brief Description: Two handled vase with shaped sides. Lift-off lid with gold knob
Subject Date: 1913 - 1914
Creator: Barringer, Wallis and Manners
Publisher: Huntley & Palmers

Full Description: This tin, featuring Native Americans on one side and an Arabian desert scene on the other, was made for Huntley & Palmers by Barringer, Wallis and Manners. The majority of Huntley & Palmers tins were made for them by Huntley, Boorne & Stevens. Occasionally however they did issue a tin which had been made by other tin manufactuers. Any firm could buy an exclusive right to a tin design which meant that the tin maker would only supply that firm with the design. Alternatively, for a smaller amount, they could secure the rights to a particular design for a year or two after which the design would become available to other manufacturers.
