Brief Description: Awarded to Huntley & Palmers at the Exposition Universelle Grand Prix 1878 in France. Reverse
Subject Date: 1878
Full Description: This is the grand prix medal won at the International Universal Exhibition of 1878 in Paris. Huntley & Palmers were also presented with a decorative banner that can be seen at the Museum of Reading. The prize jury praised the company, calling it an 'unrivalled house, known throughout the world for its enormous output and for the excellent quality of its products.'
