Brief Description: Model of part of the Huntley & Palmers' factory and offices, just before rebuilding in 1936. View from the West
Subject Date: 1930 - 1936

Full Description: The Huntley & Palmers factory at Reading was built up over many years starting in 1846. Until the 1930s no major renovations of the factory had taken place. In 1936 the office building which faced onto Kings Road was finally demolished and replaced by a modern, more practical building. This model shows the factory before the redevelopment started.
