Brief Description: Huntley & Palmers biscuit stamp reads 'Morning Coffee Huntley & Palmers'. This stamp was probably produced in the late 1939 for a special Christmas tin of Morning Coffee or later in 1960s when this variety was introduced again
Subject Date: Date unknown

Full Description: Demand for sweet biscuits soared in the mid nineteenth century as people's eating habits changed. The better off families began to have smaller and more regular meals throughout the day such as 'elevenses' and afternoon tea. Huntley & Palmers produced new biscuits, for example, the Morning Coffee biscuit, that could be eaten with tea and coffee.
