Full Description: From the late 1920s Huntley & Palmers tried to control how retailers presented their products to shoppers. They wanted to maintain the same high quality and standards whether their products were being bought in a small family grocer or a large chain of stores. To achieve this the company issued guidance on shop displays to retailers and offered display stands and boxed samples for free or at discounted rates.
