Brief Description: The Prince of Wales visiting the soldering department at Huntley, Boorne & Stevens 26 June 1926
Subject Date: 26 June 1926

Full Description: When the future King Edward VIII visited Huntley, Boorne & Stevens he was smoking a cigarette. The factory had a strict no smoking rule but nobody wanted to undertake the task of informing the Prince of Wales that he couldn't smoke! When he dropped his cigarette end on the floor, it was carefully collected and kept in a glass dome in the Board Room.
