Brief Description: Lavishly illustrated catalogue of all Huntley & Palmers biscuits and tins available to the public at the turn of the century. The catalogue includes a bird's eye-view of the factory, showing the horse-drawn trams that run between Brock Barracks and Palmer Park until they were replaced by electric trams in 1903
Subject Date: 1901 - 1903
Publisher: Huntley & Palmers
Full Description: Huntley & Palmers were producing over 400 types of biscuit at this time and many of these varieties were produced in small batches, made to order. These sales were not highly profitable and only represented a small percentage of total sales. From the First World War the production of many of these hand-made varieties was gradually discontinued and production became focused on the best-selling biscuits and cakes.
